Tinubu, Shettima’s absence sets dangerous precedent — ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has described the simultaneous absence of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima from Nigeria as a 'very dangerous precedent.' ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi made the remark on Channels Television's Politics Today on Monday. Tinubu has been in France since August 30 for a working vacation, which was extended, while Shettima traveled to New York on September 20 for the 81st United Nations General Assembly. The Presidency has stated that Tinubu remains in contact with officials and continues to direct government affairs, and that Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume is overseeing matters in their absence.
