The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has lifted its ban on SIM card swapping and email address changes for UTME candidates. The policy, effective Monday, September 21, 2026, allows candidates to update their registered GSM number, email address, or both through a secure verification process at designated JAMB centres. The service is available to candidates who lost the SIM card used during registration, can no longer access their registered email, or need to update either for legitimate reasons. The move gives applicants locked out of their profiles a chance to recover access.
