The Federal Government has named key industrial clusters as it begins comprehensive technical audits of power infrastructure serving major industrial areas. The priority areas identified are the Lagos industrial axis, the Abuja-Kaduna corridor and the Enugu-Onitsha axis. Power Minister Joseph Tegbe said the Lagos industrial corridor alone accounts for approximately 40 per cent of national electricity demand, making resolution of its infrastructure challenges critical to industrial growth and job creation. He said the target is to fix issues in the Lagos/Sagamu corridor within six months before moving to Abuja and then the Enugu-Onitsha axis.
