The Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, has stated that implementation of the Nigeria Industrial Policy launched in February 2026 is making progress. He cited the activation of the Nigeria First Policy to promote patronage of Nigerian manufactured goods, with the ministry engaging the Bureau of Public Procurement to accelerate patronage of Nigerian assembled automobiles and Cotton, Textile and Garment industry products. The minister also identified enhancing access to finance as another area of progress. The report noted that practical measures are still needed to firm up implementation and sustain the gains.
