In Warri and Effurun, Delta State, tarpaulins used in commercial tricycles (keke) to shield passengers from rain have become hiding spots for criminals. A victim, Agnes, recounted being stabbed in the leg and robbed of over one hundred thousand naira by a fellow passenger who was concealed by the tarpaulin. The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer has called for vigilance. The report also noted that women carrying babies are used as a trap to fool passengers.
