Isa Ussain Akilu Jarma Jnr, an 18-year-old Nigerian midfielder and product of Kano Pillars U-17, is targeting a breakthrough in European football after joining Spanish club Deportivo Leganés. He moved to the Michel Hidalgo Football Academy in Antibes, France, in January 2026, and has since developed his abilities while gaining experience with regional partner club AS Fontonne at U-19 level. Known for his technical ability, vision and versatility, Akilu stands at 1.88 metres and weighs 73.4kg, combining physical presence with a strong left foot and composure under pressure. Officials of the Michel Hidalgo Football Academy have praised his technical qualities, tactical understanding and commitment.
