Three indigenous houseboat contractors in the Niger Delta have sued the Nigerian Army over alleged unpaid rent for 33 months. The suit, filed at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, seeks to compel the Attorney General of the Federation, the Chief of Defence Staff, and the Commander of the Joint Task Force, Operation Delta Safe, to settle outstanding debts. The contractors are Peaches Integrated Services Limited, Etucom Integrated Services Limited, and Godsam Industrial Services Limited. The dispute is said to threaten the fight against illegal oil bunkering in the region.
