Parents and community members of Mussa and Lassa in Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno State protested on Monday over the abduction of their children by Boko Haram. The children have been in captivity for over 130 days since a wave of abductions began on May 15, 2026. According to parents and school authorities, 44 children were kidnapped from Mussa Ward and 36 from Lassa schools. The protesters threatened to storm the Presidential Villa in Abuja within six days if their children are not rescued. The chairman of the Borno pupils' parents, Ishaku Suya, led the protest and issued an emotional appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
