15 political parties condemn attack on Kaduna ADC gov’ship candidate

Leaders of 15 political parties in Kaduna State have condemned the recent attack on the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Isa Mohammed Ashiru, describing it as unacceptable and a direct threat to democratic participation ahead of the 2027 general elections. The condemnation was detailed in a statement issued on Monday by Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi, spokesman for the Ashiru campaign. According to the statement, the party leaders paid a solidarity visit to Ashiru at his Kaduna residence following the attack on him and members of his entourage. The participating parties included Accord, ADP, NRM, APP, PRP, Labour Party (LP), YPP, APGA, AA, BP, ADC, AAC, ZLP, NDP, DLA, and NNPP. The party leaders expressed grave concern over rising incidents of political intimidation and violence across the state.
