The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents that major ongoing infrastructure projects across the territory will be completed and handed over by January 2027. Wike gave the assurance after inspecting key road and bridge projects in Abuja, expressing optimism that the projects would be delivered before the next general elections. He inspected the Inner Southern Expressway, being constructed by CGC Nigeria Limited, and commended the contractor for the quality of work and its commitment to handing over the project by December 2026. He also visited the Southern Parkway project at Gaduwa and the Nile University axis leading to Ring Road 3, being handled by CCECC.
