The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared he will never support Imo State governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors' Forum, Hope Uzodimma, to become President of the Senate. Wike made the declaration on Monday during an appearance on TVC's Journalists' Hangout in Abuja, while reacting to opposition by some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors to the proposed Rainbow Coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections. When contacted by LEADERSHIP, Governor Uzodimma said he would not reply to Wike, speaking through his Commissioner for Information, Strategy and Public Orientation, Hon. Declan Emelumba. Wike alleged that the resistance to the coalition by some APC governors was connected to their desire to influence the process.
