The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) reported that vehicle imports rose 42.5% to 103,375 units in the first half of 2026, compared to 72,568 units in the same period in 2025. The figure was disclosed at the quarterly meeting of the Port Consultative Council in Lagos. The NPA attributed the increase largely to transhipment activities at the PTML Terminal.
