The Nigerian equities market reached a record year-to-date gain of 60.76% on Monday, September 21, 2026, with the NGX All-Share Index hitting 250,156.80 points after a 0.14% daily gain. The total equities market capitalization rose to N162.39 trillion, the highest level ever recorded. The surge followed the FTSE Russell reclassification of Nigerian equities.
