The 2026 National Grassroots Sports Development Summit is set to take place on November 18 and 19 at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja. The two-day event aims to create a sustainable pathway for young athletes from schools and communities to elite competition. It will bring together government officials, sports administrators, federations, schools, clubs, coaches, former athletes, corporate organisations, and development partners. The Main Organising Committee, chaired by Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, reviewed preparations, focusing on stakeholder mobilisation, technical sessions, logistics, media, private-sector participation, and overall coordination.
