Kylian Mbappe has described Zinedine Zidane's appointment as France coach as a "film" moment, recalling their first encounter over a decade ago. Zidane will take charge of Les Bleus for the first time on Friday when France face Turkey in the Nations League in Izmit, succeeding Didier Deschamps. Mbappe revealed that Zidane was the first person to take him to Real Madrid's training complex when he was 13 or 14 years old. Zidane's appointment marks a new era for France following Deschamps' 14-year tenure, which ended after France were beaten by Spain in the World Cup semi-finals in July.
