The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has commenced the training of state education officials on the Book Supply Chain and Track 'N' Trace System under the HOPE-EDU Programme. The five-day regional workshop, held in Kano, is aimed at equipping officials with skills and accountability mechanisms for transparent procurement, tracking and distribution of teaching and learning materials to schools. Declaring the workshop open, UBEC Executive Secretary Dr Aisha Garba urged participating states to demonstrate readiness to implement Result Area One of the programme by 15 November 2026. She described the deadline as critical to unlocking the first round of programme disbursement.
