The Labour Party's Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration has begun consultations on possible new political and institutional alliances ahead of the 2027 general elections. The move followed a national strategy session held virtually on Friday, 18 September 2026. During the session, the directorate reviewed the lingering crisis within the party. The consultations are being led by the directorate's Director-General, Marcel Ngogbehei, and involve reaching out to the Abure-led National Executive Committee.
