Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has welcomed defectors from the All Progressives Congress into the Allied Peoples Movement. Makinde, who is the APM's presidential candidate, said the defection of thousands of supporters indicated growing support for the party. He declared that the APM will record victory in the 2027 general elections. The governor made the remarks while receiving the defectors.
