The Sokoto State Government has announced that it created 6,990 direct jobs in less than two years, ahead of the 2027 general election. The government, led by Governor Ahmad Aliyu, said the figures are open to independent verification and challenged the opposition to present its own scorecard. The jobs were distributed across three key areas, including 3,000 additional personnel recruited into the Sokoto State Civil Service. The announcement was made by Nura Mahe, Senior Special Assistant on Strategic Communications, during a press briefing in Sokoto under the theme '2027: Let The Records Speak'.
