Noah Shinn, a 23-year-old college dropout, has become a notable figure in the AI industry with his invite-only AI assistant, Instinct. The startup gained rapid attention in Silicon Valley this summer, raised $250 million, and achieved a $2.5 billion valuation. Shinn, who dropped out of Northeastern University in 2023, had already published influential AI research as an undergraduate. His company now competes directly with Meta, another company founded by a college dropout.
