The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has identified 15 states at high risk of riverine flooding, including Kogi, Anambra, Benue, and Lagos. The flood advisory, released by the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA), prompted NEMA's Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, to activate zonal directorates and operations offices. The agency has directed its offices in affected states to activate preparedness mechanisms and coordinate with response stakeholders. NEMA is monitoring developments and remains ready to support necessary actions.
