Egypt: President El-Sisi Meets the Minister of Defence of Cyprus

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt met with Vasilis Palmas, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus, in Cairo. The meeting was attended by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Cypriot Ambassador to Cairo Elena Rafti, and Brigadier General Charis Georgiou. According to Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, President El-Sisi welcomed the visit and emphasized the vital need to strengthen the existing strategic partnership and elevate it to broader prospects across various areas, notably in security and military domains. The President also requested that his greetings be conveyed to the Cypriot leadership.
