Governor Uba Sani has approved N3.659 billion for the payment of pension, gratuities and death benefits to retirees and families of deceased public servants across Kaduna State and Local Government Services. The approval covers 1,339 beneficiaries, including retirees and eligible families under the Defined Benefit Scheme and Contributory Pension Scheme. According to Commissioner for Information and Culture Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, the latest approval brings the cumulative pension payments by the Uba Sani administration to N21.455 billion, covering 9,683 beneficiaries since it assumed office in May 2023. Of the 1,339 beneficiaries, 210 Local Government retirees will receive N515 million under the Defined Benefit Scheme, while N3.144 billion has been approved under the Contributory Pension Scheme.
