Certified hybrid pitch technician Ebi Egbe has urged the Nigeria Football Federation to incorporate playing-surface intelligence into the Super Eagles' match preparation. In a technical document addressed to NFF Acting General Secretary Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, Egbe argued that the playing surface can significantly impact players' performance. He recommended detailed assessment of the pitch, including ball roll and rebound, passing speed, acceleration, and traction. The recommendation comes as the Super Eagles prepare for Friday's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in Uyo.
