Nigeria's U20 women's national team, the Falconets, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday evening after their elimination from the 2026 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Poland. The team was received by the Acting General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, along with other NFF management officials. Their campaign ended on Sunday when they conceded a stoppage-time goal to Colombia in Łódź, resulting in a narrow defeat that prevented them from reaching the semi-finals. The return marks the conclusion of Nigeria's participation in the global youth tournament.
