The Minister of Power, Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, disclosed on Monday at a media session with senior journalists in Abuja that about N1.23 trillion has been raised towards settling the backlog of outstanding debt in the power sector. The power sector debt is estimated at N3.3 trillion. Tegbe said the funds were raised as part of a broader programme of addressing the debt. He also spoke on improving the sector.
