The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed October 26 to rule on a motion filed by detained former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to stop his trial. El-Rufai is facing allegations of unlawfully intercepting phone communications of National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. Through his lawyers, he urged the court to discharge and acquit him of the five-count amended charge, arguing that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case. The prosecution, however, insisted that he has a case to answer.
