President Bola Tinubu has called for a united African effort to end the historical exploitation of the continent's critical mineral resources. He urged African nations to stop exporting raw materials and instead focus on local processing, manufacturing, and value addition. Tinubu made the call on Monday in New York during the AMSG High-Level Roundtable on Critical Minerals Development in Africa, held on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly. He was represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
