Parul Somani was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 at the age of 31, after giving birth to her second child. Having previously approached major decisions by gathering data and seeking answers, she found during cancer treatment that some choices have no guaranteed outcome. She developed a framework focused on making decisions she can stand behind afterward, which she set out in her book The Path of Least Regret. She now asks which decision she will regret least rather than which one is right.
