Security forces in Katsina State killed 18 bandits during an ambush operation. According to the ministry, the bandits belonged to a gang led by Alhaji Musa Duki, a former school headmaster who later became a bandit kingpin. The gang was said to be operating from Mununu Forest in Faskari Local Government Area. Weapons and livestock were recovered during the operation.
