Veteran table tennis player Saka Suraju is set to return to continental competition at the 2026 ITTF Africa Championships in Tangier, Morocco, a decade after his last major appearance. The 50-year-old has been named in Congo Brazzaville's squad for the tournament, scheduled for October 18 to 26. Suraju last represented Congo Brazzaville at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, having also competed at Beijing 2008 and London 2012. Despite transitioning into coaching, he expressed confidence in his ability to compete at the highest level, stating that age is just a number in table tennis.
