The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has denied authorising a blood-testing exercise at CAC Adu Memorial Grammar School in Akure. The ministry stated that it did not approve the exercise and that school principals are not empowered to organise such activities or impose related charges without approval. Spokesperson Bisi Lawani said in a statement that the ministry is concerned about allegations that students were required to pay N8,000 for the test. The ministry emphasised that no policy requires public school students to pay such an amount for blood testing.
