The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Northern States and Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has condemned the continued killings and destruction of property in Plateau State, urging the Federal and state governments to take immediate steps to restore peace and protect vulnerable communities. Chairman of Northern CAN, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam, in a statement on Tuesday, expressed “deep sadness and grave concern” over the persistent violence and loss of innocent lives across affected communities. The Christian body strongly condemned the attacks and called for an immediate end to what it described as “senseless bloodshed and destruction.” Northern CAN urged President Bola Tinubu and the Plateau State Government to take firm and immediate measures to end the violence, protect residents and restore lasting peace and security in the affected areas.
