Entrepreneur Sophia Momodu has recounted the ridicule and social stigma she faced after becoming pregnant by a singer outside marriage. Speaking at a side panel at the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, Momodu said being the daughter of a pastor made the situation particularly difficult due to the stigma attached to having a child outside wedlock in Nigerian society. She said she was mocked and had to find strength amidst the negativity. Momodu shared her story in a video posted on her Instagram Story on Tuesday.
