With Tinubu, Shettima abroad, who is running Nigeria – ADC asks

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has questioned who is exercising Nigeria's presidential powers while President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima are abroad. The opposition party noted that Tinubu's absence has exceeded the 21-day period referenced in Section 145 of the Constitution, raising concerns about whether the constitutional procedure for transferring presidential functions was followed. The ADC demanded to know if Tinubu transmitted the required written declaration to the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives.
