Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has denied claims by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike that he received ₦50 billion from President Bola Tinubu. Makinde made the rebuttal at the North-West Consultative Meeting of the African Peoples Movement (APM) in Katsina, where he joined the party's presidential candidate, Lawal Daura, to present the 'Reset Nigeria' agenda. He stated that the allegation was untrue and that the President did not give him such funds. Makinde also thanked Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai for their support, and said the coalition's campaign would focus on four pillars: resetting the economy, education, security, and national unity.
