The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reported that foreign exchange pressures are receding as the country's external reserves hit an 18-year high. The current account surplus also rose by 67.9 per cent, according to the CBN governor. The governor attributed part of the improvement in Nigeria's external buffers to diaspora remittances, which he said have strengthened the country's resilience. The development signals a more stable macroeconomic environment.
