President Bola Tinubu called for stronger cooperation among African countries to end the export of raw minerals and ensure greater economic value from the continent's resources. He made the call in New York during the AMSG High-Level Roundtable on Critical Minerals Development in Africa, held on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly. Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu emphasized the need for local processing, manufacturing, and value chains. The roundtable was convened by Tinubu alongside AMSG Chairman and Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake.
