The Oyo State Government has declared that it is fully funding the reconstruction and upgrade of the Ibadan airport. The clarification was made in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser on Media to the Oyo State Governor, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju. The state government described the claim by the Minister of Aviation that the Federal Government contributed funds as incorrect, stating that the Federal Government did not give Oyo State any money for the project.
