Domestic investors accounted for almost 90 percent of total transactions on the Nigerian equities market in the first eight months of 2026. Trading activity surged to N13.25 trillion, with domestic investors contributing N11.89 trillion, representing 89.77 percent of total market transactions between January and August. The data from the Nigerian Exchange indicates a strong dominance of local investors in the market.
