Tinubu, Shettima’s absence: I’m not Acting President, says Akpabio

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has stated he is not acting as President amid the absence of President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima from the country. Tinubu is on vacation in Europe, while Shettima is attending the 81st UN General Assembly in New York. The ADC spokesman criticized the absence as a dangerous disregard for the Constitution, and AAC's Omoyele Sowore called for the National Assembly to invoke Section 145(2) of the 1999 Constitution.
