A gunman who was shot by Canadian police after firing on officers outside a synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, has died in the hospital. The 29-year-old man, carrying a shotgun, approached the synagogue on Sunday evening as worshippers gathered for Yom Kippur. Police shot him, and he later succumbed to his injuries.
