MTN Group Foundation and the Gates Foundation have launched an AI-enabled maternal health platform aimed at reaching 500,000 Nigerian women by 2030. The initiative, known as the Nigeria Maternal Health Multiplier, will also equip 5,000 frontline health workers with digital tools to detect pregnancy and childbirth complications early. It will support 500 primary healthcare facilities to provide higher-quality maternal care. The four-year partnership, announced in New York on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly, comes with an initial investment of about $25 million from the two organisations between 2026 and 2030.
