Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri have praised former military administrator of the state, Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Edor Obi (retd.), for his role in guiding Bayelsa through a critical period. The commendation was made at the funeral of Obi's father, Pa Sir Benedict Apie, in Bayelsa State. Both leaders acknowledged the elder Obi's contributions to the state's development. The event was attended by dignitaries and family members.
