The Zamfara State Government, in partnership with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), is constructing a Safe Space Centre in Gusau. The facility is designed to support survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and other traumatised individuals by providing a safe and supportive environment for their rehabilitation, recovery, and reintegration. It is also expected to enhance the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development's capacity to deliver appropriate care, psychosocial support, and other essential services to women, children, and vulnerable groups. A supervision team led by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Nasiru Galadima Kaura, conducted an inspection visit to assess the progress of the ongoing construction.
