The Zamfara State Government has approved a 95 per cent increase in the salaries of health workers across the state, effective from September 7, 2026. The revised remuneration aligns with the Federal Government's approved health-sector salary structures, particularly the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS). The Head of Civil Service, Shehu Baraya, announced the adjustment in a circular dated September 10, 2026, addressed to senior government officials. The salary adjustment is part of efforts to strengthen the health workforce, improve staff welfare, and create better working conditions.
