Members of the Lagos Legends Club have expressed gratitude to their Convener, Engr. Waidi Akanni, for facilitating a health insurance scheme for them. The scheme was made possible through the support of Mr. Bashir Abiola-Are, Chairman of the Lagos State Lottery Board. The initiative addresses the welfare and healthcare needs of retired footballers, many of whom lack a functional players' union. The ex-internationals commended both Akanni and Abiola-Are for the timely intervention.
