Domestic investors accounted for 89.77% of total transactions on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) in the first eight months of 2026, trading N11.89 trillion out of N13.25 trillion. Foreign investors accounted for N1.35 trillion, or 10.23%. Total transactions rose 91.5% compared to the same period in 2025, with domestic transactions more than doubling from N5.46 trillion, while foreign transactions declined from N1.45 trillion. This pushed the domestic share up from 78.99% in the previous year.
