Dele Alake, Nigeria's Minister of Solid Minerals Development and chairman of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group (AMSG), has called for a continental fund for mine emergencies and community recovery. The fund is intended to address mine emergencies and support community recovery efforts across Africa. Alake made the call in his capacity as AMSG chairman.
