A woman identifying herself as Damilola, who says she is a daughter of Juju legend King Sunny Ade, has made allegations against him in an emotional Instagram video posted on 21 September. She claimed that her family went without food, school fees, and other basics despite her father's steady income from live performances, and that she and half-siblings were sometimes left waiting at his shows overnight, hungry. She also alleged that some siblings in Nigeria remain without financial support from him. Damilola, who says she is 21, based in the UK, and cares for her mother, said she had raised these concerns privately for years and described the video as only 'part one' of further claims to come. She said she was not seeking money now, only accountability for the past. The claims have not been independently verified.
